Twice the size of Instax Mini film, Fujifilm has come up with a wider version of mobile printing using a larger Instax wide format. The Instax Link Wide Smartphone Printer is much similar to that of Instax Mini Link where we plug up our phone with the device through Bluetooth, make some edits on it, and print a polaroid-esque version of any picture from your gallery.
The Instax Link Wide will also be compatible with the last year’s launched Fujifilm’s X-S10 mirrorless camera, where you can directly print the pictures from your mirrorless. Although you can always roll up your images from other cameras into your smartphone and print it via. Instax Link Wide Smartphone Printer.
Instax Link Wide is much bigger than Instax Mini Link – with its size about double of a credit card. Which means that it wouldn’t be as easy to carry the pintables in your pockets and wallets like we do with the minis, but they surely will be bigger and much detailed.
There will be a couple of printing modes in Rich and Natural which will help choose between “bright and immersive or saturated and classic” color output as well as the opportunity to edit the picture on the app and add texts before getting the hardcopy.
What about the battery power? – Fujifilm insists that its Instax Link Wide Smartphone Printer will be able to print around a hundred Instax prints on a single battery charge.
You’ve already got me excited, but how many bags is this one gonna set me back? – The Instax Link Wide Smartphone Printer will be released at the dusk of this month for $149.95. Fujiflim are also coming up with a black-bordered variant of Instax Wide film which will go for $21.99 for a pack of ten.
