Good news for users of Google’s AI chatbot, Gemini! You can now double-check the information it generates using Google Search directly within the platform. This handy new feature helps ensure you’re getting accurate information from your AI assistant.

How it Works

After Gemini provides a response to your query, you’ll see a new “double-check response” toggle right below the AI-generated text. This toggle is available on both the mobile app and web version of Gemini.

Color-Coded Confidence Levels

To make verification easier, Google uses a color-coding system to show how closely search results match the AI-generated content:

Green: Google found content similar to the information provided by Gemini, and a link is included for your reference.

Orange: Google didn’t find any relevant search results for that specific part of the text.

No highlight: There isn’t enough similar information on the web to assess the accuracy of that particular section.
