Samsung‘s decision to launch Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 could increase earnings in the third quarter.

Samsung is reportedly considering moving up its summer Unpacked event by two weeks. The event, typically in August, could now happen in the final week of July.
A source close to the matter says that Samsung is struggling in the semiconductor market, which is one reason for the earlier date. The company hopes to get its new foldable phones out sooner to boost sales.
The event is expected to feature the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, as well as new smartwatches and tablets. Samsung has not yet confirmed the date of the event, but it is expected to be announced soon.

Samsung’s next Unpacked event may be held on July 26, two weeks earlier than usual. The company is struggling with a massive drop in profit due to a lowered demand for semiconductors. An official close to the matter said, “In order to boost the company’s performance, it is more necessary than ever for the smartphone division to perform well.”
This is likely an attempt to get a head start on 2023’s third quarter and get the devices into consumers’ hands sooner.
Rumors and leaks about the next wave of foldable have been circulating. A leaked render of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 showed off a 3.4-inch cover display with a resolution of 720x748p and customizable widgets. A case leak for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 didn’t reveal any major design changes. However, full renders of both devices have been released, showing some minor changes.
