YouTube Vanced, the App that used to allow Android users to block ads on the online streaming platform YouTube is blocked by Google because of a legal threat. Due to this, it will shut down in a few days. Although the current users who are already using the app can run it but there won’t be any future updates on it. Also, there is no assurity for the duration of the download version as it may also stop working at some point. The creators at Vanced were enjoying their span in the market but because of the legal threat by Google, they had no option other than shutting down the business.
“Vanced has been discontinued. In the coming days, the download links on the website will be taken down. We know this not something you wanted to hear but it’s something we need to do. Thank you all for supporting us over the years,” said YT Vanced via their official Twitter account.

Users were not so pleased by it as Vanced helped them to customize their YouTube app. It was a completely user-friendly app. It had features that would block all the ads on YouTube videos that a lot of people find irritating and frustrating after some time. The feature of blocking the advertisements on YouTube videos was absolutely free of cost. It also had a feature to change the theme, background play, picture in picture and also has the ability to restore disliked counts.
The app was customer-centric but on the contrary, it also had impacted YouTube’s revenue at some rate. Maybe this can be one of the reasons that Google gave a thought to it and ended up giving them legal notice. There is no response as of now from Google on the same.
