Apple has continually teased us with its second fall event which is much anticipated to launch a couple of new MacBooks, a redesigned Mac Mini, and possibly a third-gen AirPods. For all the Apple fanatics waiting out there, the event is expected to take place on October 18th, according to the invites sent out by the company.
Apple marketing exec Greg Joswia took to Twitter to video tease us with one word: Unleashed which appears in a dotted font that could mean at mini LED tech on the way (just speculating).

Apple are rumoured to launch new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models for months now. These will be Apple’s further step into life without intel chips after replacing it with an Arm-based processor designed by themselves called the M1X. Apple debuted M1 chips last year, but M1X chips prove a distant upgrade to its predecessor with an expected ten CPU cores compared to the M1-equipped eight, complemented by graphics processors with 16 or 32 cores in contrast to M1’s seven/eight.
That’s not all though; Other forecasted features to return to MacBook are an HDMI port, SD card slot, and fan favourite magnetic MagSafe charging with Apple looking to ditch the OLED touch bar.
There also are talks going around that the same M1X processor will be chipped into a higher-end redesigned Mac Mini which is focused to replace the intel-based model still on their store. The M1 Mac Mini’s are not bad, although it does not suit the pro users and that’s a hurdle Apple will look to jump with M1X. The rumoured Mac Mini will also have more ports than the M1 Mini which would help it make it better suited to power users.
And lastly, Apple may announce the third generation of its wireless buds. The upcoming AirPods are expected to pick up much from its predecessor AirPods Pro with redesigned charging case and lower stems the expected changes.
SAVE THE DATE: Apple.com will stream the “special” event live on 18th October at 1PM ET / 10AM PT.
