Xiaomi officially introduces HyperOS, a unified system for various devices, replacing MIUI. Learn about its features, compatible devices, and rollout details.
HyperOS: Innovative Features
Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS is a lightweight, Linux-based operating system, incorporating Xiaomi Vela, an open-source platform founded on NuttX real-time OS. Notably, it requires just 8.75GB of system storage. Equipped with advanced resource management, it adapts seamlessly to varying device configurations, boosting performance. With a RAM range of 64KB to 24GB, it caters to a wide spectrum of devices.
Expect improved network performance, superior multitasking, and enhancements like the MiSans global font system for international users, enriched visual effects rendering, revamped Lock screen styles, and more.
HyperOS boasts precise hardware scheduling, ensuring seamless performance and power efficiency, even in complex scenarios. It achieves this through dynamic thread priority adjustments and task cycle evaluations. Experience stable frame rates and reduced power consumption while running graphics-intensive games. HyperOS enhances the file system, memory management, imaging subsystem, and network system.
Designed as a unified platform for connected devices, HyperOS introduces the integrated device center, simplifying the control and monitoring of all connected devices. This enables seamless camera source switching during video conferences, access to car cameras via your phone, and cross-device camera connectivity.
HyperMind, powered by AI, enables devices to learn from usage patterns for added convenience. Xiaomi AI Assistant integrates large foundation models for text generation and real-time subtitles. Xiaomi tablet users can harness the AI Brush for professional-level artwork enhancements.
Security and Privacy Features
HyperOS incorporates a proprietary TEE security model for enhanced security and privacy. It implements end-to-end encryption for data transmission between devices.
