First Look: Google Pixel 8a renders revealed

The first renders of Google’s upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Pixel 8a, have been leaked, giving tech enthusiasts a glimpse of what to expect. Collaborating with Smartprix, renowned tipster OnLeaks has unveiled high-quality images of the Pixel 8a.

Visually, the Pixel 8a closely resembles its predecessor, the Pixel 7a, retaining the distinctive ‘visor’ camera design. Notable features include dual cameras, essential sensors, and a 6.1-inch flat display with minimal bezels, possibly protected by 2.5D curved glass. The phone’s dimensions are estimated at approximately 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9mm, making it slightly taller and slimmer than the previous model. It is expected to be available in peach and blue, with the possibility of additional color options.

One noticeable change is the introduction of rounded corners, a design feature seen in the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The top end of the phone may feature an ultrawideband strip, while the bottom houses the USB Type-C port and stereo speakers. Usual hardware elements like the power button, volume rocker, and SIM tray will be positioned on the sides.

In terms of specifications, concrete details are scarce, but it’s speculated that the Pixel 8a will be equipped with the Tensor G3 chipset, albeit with different clock speeds compared to its more premium counterparts, the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. This processor is anticipated to be accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Google is expected to enhance the camera capabilities and battery performance while introducing several Pixel-exclusive features such as Photo Unblur and Magic Eraser. Pricing is projected to be below Rs 50,000.

Although the Pixel 8a is rumored to launch in 2024, these details should be taken with caution as they remain unconfirmed. As more information becomes available, enthusiasts can stay updated.
